Job Description

We are looking for a friendly and outgoing Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of The Den. As a host, you will ensure guests feel valued and comfortable while managing seating arrangements and assisting with reservations. Your excellent interpersonal skills and organizational abilities will help create a positive dining experience for all our guests.

Reports to: General Manager, Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave.

  • Manage the digital seating chart to ensure efficient use of tables and space.

  • Handle guest reservations and inquiries in person, over the phone, or online.

  • Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and any relevant information about the dining experience.

  • Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area.

  • Address guest needs or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management if necessary.

  • Assisting guests with receiving takeout orders if necessary.

Skills

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, especially in busy environments.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a professional demeanor.

  • Prior experience as a host/hostess or in a customer-facing role is a plus.

  • Proficiency in using reservation management systems is desirable.
